How much does the chef's apprenticeship program cost?

The tuition for the three year program is $8,510 This includes all technical related classes, books and uniform.

An apprentice must maintain membership with the American Culinary Federation, which is part of the Third Year tuition fees.

 First Year:

Fall semester $1,285 + $600 fees = $1,885
Spring semester $785 + $600 fees = $1,385

Second Year:

Fall semester $785 + $600 fees = $1,385
Spring semester $785 + $600 fees = $1,385

Third Year:

Fall semester $585 + $650 fees = $1,235
Spring semester $585 + $650 fees = $1,235
+ ACF national junior membership (covered with third year fees)

Fees include text book, facility, yearly online registration for mandatory sanitation, nutrition and management classes, practical lab and testing supplies. The fees listed here are subject to change without notice.

It is an option, but highly recommended to complete 6 general education credits per year, 15 credits total for the three year program (see RRCC tuition schedule). This will result in an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Culinary Arts. Many of the sponsoring establishments will reimburse all or part of your tuition.

All chefs' apprentices will be registered with the Bureau of Labor & Training on August 29, 2024.
