RRCC Theatre Arts Students Heading to Regionals
Selected by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival

LAKEWOOD, CO - Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) Theatre Arts and Dance is excited to announce that a number of their students have been chosen to participate in the regional Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival to be held at the University of Oregon in Eugene in February. The students were selected by festival respondents based on their performances and technical work connected to the fall production of The House of Yes, written by Wendy MacLeod and directed by David-Matthew Barnes.

National Science Foundation Awards $1.5 Million Grant For Underrepresented Students Seeking Stem Careers

Aurora, CO – The National Science Foundation has awarded the Community College of Aurora (CCA) a three year, $1.5 million Louis Stokes B2B Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) grant.

Interim Vice President for Colorado Northwestern Community College ‘holds down the fort’ as the search for new VP moves forward

CRAIG — Resignations and retirements have left Colorado Northwestern Community College short three vice presidents — VP of Instruction, VP of Finance and VP of Craig Campus — as well as voids in other leadership positions. To help keep things on track for the start of a new semester, the Colorado Community College System office has provided support, including an interim VP for the Craig Campus.

RRCC Theatre Presents Pride and Prejudice
Jane Austen’s Romantic Comedy Adapted by Jon Jory

LAKEWOOD, CO - Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) Theatre Arts and Dance, presents the romantic comedy Pride and Prejudice, from the novel by Jane Austen, adapted by Jon Jory. This production is directed by David-Matthew Barnes. Pride and Prejudice will be performed July 19, 20, and 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the Red Rocks Community Theater, 13300 W 6th Avenue, in Lakewood. The theater is located at the west end, lower level. Admission is $10. Tickets may be purchased in advance online at www.tinyurl.com/RRCCTickets. Credit and debit cards are also accepted at the door.

Fostering a culture for STEM entrepreneurs

The National Science Foundation’s Community College Innovation Challenge is a big deal for Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) in Colorado.
An RRCC team was the first place winner in 2015 — the first year of the challenge — placed in the top 10 in 2016, second in 2017 and has high hopes for the 2018 challenge.

RRCC Theatre Presents The Addams Family
A Musical Comedy

LAKEWOOD, CO - Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) Theatre Arts and Dance, presents the musical comedy The Addams Family, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. This musical is directed by Kelly Jo Eldredge. The Addams Family will be performed April 26, 27 and 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Red Rocks Community College Theater, 13300 W 6th Avenue, in Lakewood.

RRCC Fine Woodworking Program Hosts Its Spring Exhibition May 12th 2018

LAKEWOOD, CO - The Red Rocks Community College Fine Woodworking Program invites the community to its Spring Exhibition on May 12th from noon to 4 pm at RRCC’s Lakewood Campus. The Lakewood Campus is located at 13300 West 6th Avenue and the exhibition will be in room 2829 on the west side of campus. 

Red Rocks Community College’s Rocky Mountain Education Center to host the OSHA Region VIII Workers Memorial Day

LAKEWOOD - Rocky Mountain Education Center (RMEC) will be hosting the OSHA VIII Workers Memorial Day on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 10:00am -11:00am at Red Rocks Community College. The event will be held in the Community Room at the Lakewood Campus, located at 13300 West 6th Avenue.

RRCC Tax Help students and instructors celebrate the end of a previous tax season

LAKEWOOD, CO - This tax season, Red Rocks Community College is partnering with Denver-based Piton Foundation to help hard-working families become more financially secure by providing free tax preparation services through the Tax Help Colorado program. Beginning February 3, IRS-certified Red Rocks Community College students will prepare and file tax returns free of charge for individuals with household incomes of less than about $54,000 a year.

RRCC to Host Outdoor Career Fair

LAKEWOOD, CO -Red Rocks Community College will be hosting its 3rd Annual RRCC Outdoor Education and Park Ranger Career Fair on Wednesday, January 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Lakewood campus located at 13300 W 6th Avenue. Twenty employers will be looking for qualified employees for both full time or seasonal jobs in the Outdoor or Park Ranger Industries.

Rocky Mountain Chefs of CO to hold Endowment Dinner & Silent Auction
RRCC and Rocky Mountain Chefs offer culinary arts degree

LAKEWOOD, CO - Rocky Mountain Chefs of Colorado will hold their annual Endowment Dinner & Silent Auction on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. The evening of luxury, presented by current culinary arts students, will also honor recent graduates and will include a seven course meal with wine, cash bar, silent auction, free gift, and more.
