Types of Aid
The following types of financial aid are available at Red Rocks Community College, based on the information you provide on your aid application. Your first step to apply is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you are ASSET-eligible, or if you are an international, undocumented, or DACAmented student, complete the Colorado Application for Student Financial Aid (CASFA).
Grants are awarded based on financial need and do not have to be repaid. Grant amounts are also determined by the information you provide on the CASFA/FAFSA. Your enrollment status is also taken into consideration, and the amount of your grant will be reduced, or pro-rated, if you are taking fewer than 12 credits in any semester. With the exception of the Federal Pell Grant, funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. There could be times a student may show eligibility, but funds may not be available.
